Voices in Wartime is a powerful documentary that uses the story of the Poets Against the Iraq War movement as a framework to dissect the experience of war. Poets from around the world, along with soldiers, psychologists, civilians, journalists and historians present their diverse perspectives on war's impact.

The New York Times called it, "An elegant statement not only on the devastation of war but also on the power of poetry to amaze." TV Guide called it, "required viewing" filled with "shattering images and powerful poetry."

In addition to the documentary and accompanying anthology, Voices in Wartime is an Opening of the Heart Education Project. This provides curriculum modules and teacher training to help high school and college students understand the roots of conflict and the trauma of war.

Opening of the Heart is a non-profit dedicated to transforming how we respond to, engage in, and recover from conflict, through education and the arts. More information can be found here.
